We all strive to look and feel our best. Diet and exercise are at the cornerstones of staying fit, but sometimes that is not sufficient. Now you have the answer: BodyTite.
BodyTite is a great solution for individuals who are looking to reduce fat without the saggy, wrinkly skin. It also helps improve saggy skin after weight loss or due to aging. BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that shapes, tightens and lifts without the scalpel or scar. You are left with surgical-like results without the added downtime.
If you can imagine it, you can do it: stomach, arms, chest, knees and inner/ outer thighs are some of the most common treatment zones. Multiple areas can be treated in one visit. Each zone will take approximately 15 minutes of treatment.
Over the years, Dr. Zelken has worked with a number of patients, none of which have experienced any critical side effects during their Bodytite procedures. While regular follow-ups can be challenging due to the high number of out of town patients, Dr. Zelken has achieved extremely high satisfaction levels, with the majority of patients experiencing great results. Some rare but possible side effects with this procedure include unattractive scarring and slight nerve weakness. There are also patients who complain that they did not achieve the firmness they desired from the procedure. Today, Dr. Zelken experiences very few side effects when performing Bodytite on patients as he has extensive experience with patient selection and has altered his techniques to suit each patients’ individual needs.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results can be seen immediately, with best results noticeable after 3-6 months.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
Depending on the treatment area, downtime can be from 1-2 days up to 10 days.
WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN A SURGEON WHO OFFERS BODYTITE?
Make sure you choose a board-certified plastic surgeon, specifically who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. If you choose BodyTite, remember that other providers may not have a strong foundation of understanding of anatomy, liposuction technique, and complication management that comes with 7+ years of specialized training. If you chose FaceTite, only plastic surgeons and facial plastic surgeons should be considered. Many of patients travel for the procedure because there are few qualified and experienced providers of this impressive technology.
CAN BODYTITE FIX BAD LIPOSUCTION?
An important limitation of BodyTite is that it may not cause enough tightening to correct contour irregularities resulting from aggressive liposuction at the time of surgery or in a prior surgery. Dr. Zelken prevents contour irregularities by artistic and targeted liposculpture and avoids inadequate tightening to correct other doctors’ work with careful patient selection and guiding expectations.
WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?
RFAL generates heat quickly within the fat layer in a controlled and uniform manner, which translates into blood vessel coagulation at the treated area. That’s why Dr. Zelken sees less perioperative bruising than traditional liposuction procedures. Even though you may not bruise, you will still be swollen. That’s why patients may look the same or even worse initially, on account of swelling and tissue remodeling. By 6 weeks, the tide generally turns as collagen deposition accelerates and swelling begins to go away. InMode, the creator of BodyTite, suggests that 70% of the tightening result is manifest by 3 months, and the final result by 6 months, although we see ongoing improvement at 1 year. If a lot of liposuction has been performed, you may see drastic results sooner as a result of slimming.
WHAT’S THE MOST COMMON COMPLICATION?
Suboptimal port site healing is probably the most common complication Dr. Zelken sees, but this warrants intervention in less than 5% of patients treated. Like liposuction, the small entry holes created can be red, or swollen, or dark for weeks or more. Dr. Zelken sees this with liposuction too, but the "double-trauma" of a BodyTite probe and liposuction cannula makes it more likely to occur after BodyTite. It is possible for liposuction port sites to be irritated, indurated, and slow to heal when high-energy is applied in conjunction with liposuction. This is still uncommon and easily treated with IPL or Kenalog injection. In rare cases, Dr. Zelken may offer a scar revision.
BodyTite uses RFAL (Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipoplasty) technology that addresses some of the shortcomings associated with traditional liposuction or surgical body lifts.
BodyTite has tightened and formed back to my body and I don’t have saggy skin or rolls anymore. Three years after having my baby, I feel like I have a new body image and my shape back.
