SPOILER ALERT: The motorcar wins every time. And it’s a lightweight car. And a lighter weight driver. But let’s face it, these new implants are super impressive. We used old samples that have been sitting around for years. They were yellow and unquestionably compromised. Still, both Allergan devices withstood being driven over slowly, on a hot Southern California day, on rough pavement. To be honest, I hoped and expected the implants to survive. But I’m not disappointed that they didn’t, since no implants should be expected to sustain such unreasonable forces in vivo. The other exciting finding was that the implants retained their form even upon rupturing. It’s not like a water balloon exploding, for example. The purpose of this video was to elucidate the integrity and safety of modern gel devices. And to make a fun video.
